What is the difference between the bookstore and the library?

At Leeward CC Bookstore: You can BUY (or RENT) materials, such as course textbooks and supplies. You must PAY to buy or rent items from the bookstore.

At Leeward CC Library: You can BORROW materials, such as

• Books for leisure reading, research, and supplemental course readings (course reserves)
• Mobile devices such as laptops, computer mice, headphones, and other accessories

It is FREE to borrow items from the library. We do not have items for purchase and the only things you have to pay for in the library are:

• Fines & fees for overdue or lost items
• Printing & copying services
