"OneSearch" was a name that we used to use for the Primo search tool. Some UH libraries still use the OneSearch name.

Primo is a system that finds information available from many of the library's online research databases. Primo also serves as the library's online catalog, which lets you find books, e-books, videos, and other materials in the library's collection. Searching Primo with the default "Library Catalog + Articles" setting will generate a list of different kinds of materials such as books and e-books; articles from magazines, newspapers, and journals; and DVDs and streaming video. Primo is a convenient alternative to searching the different databases one-by-one. Primo presents a combined list of materials from different databases, ranked in relevance order — in other words, the items that the ranking algorithm thinks are most likely to be useful to you are placed near the top of the results list.

Primo's search results will usually link to the articles, e-books, or videos in the research databases where they're available from.

You can search Primo:

Be aware that some of our databases are not compatible with the Primo system. Swank videos are not listed in Primo.
